Washpool re-imagined in Stanthorpe

On Saturday 16 July (2022) we moved into our new ‘full sensory experience’ facility in Stanthorpe in the Granite Belt region, Queensland.

Our vision for the move was to invite our customers and clients into our world of making artisanal natural soap, skincare and home health products. We’re so proud of our products that we craft by hand, we wanted our customers to see us mixing luxury raw materials into gorgeous natural products for healthy skin and home.

Our new home includes a coffee bar for exploring travelers, visitors and locals as well as hand washing trough for product testing and full visual access to the laboratory where our products are formulated and handmade on site. We are now better equipped for our workshops and classes, so you can get hands on on your visit to us.

We were handed the keys in March this year, taking over the Stanthorpe Ritz Dance Studio premises, and worked against all odds to be open and ready for trade on Saturday 16 July. We were still packaging stock into the store on the day, and we appreciate everyone’s patience whilst everything was brought up to speed.

Our new premises sees us being much more productive and collaborative now that our retail, production and warehouse teams are all under the one roof, and that you, our valued customers and visitors, are included in our process of providing skincare and home health for everybody, naturally.

Our shelves are not only stocked with Washpool soap, skincare and home health, but a range of ethical solutions for home and personal health, including educational tools, giftware, condiments and biscuits, picnic rugs, sustainable cups and bags, soap savers, cards, pantry organisers, essential oils and blends, natural makeup, fermentation bottles, and so much more. Most items can be found on our website if you can’t make the trip out to us.

Soap Making Workshop (August 2022)

Images from our latest and first Soap Making Workshop in the new premises in Stanthorpe. We had an engaged and enthusiastic group, who were ready to put their passion for natural health and skincare into informed and educated practice. There were so many great questions, and a lot of laughing and sharing, whilst also enjoying a healthy morning tea and gourmet lunch. They left with 2kg of their own natural soap bars, and the knowledge to take it into a hobby, personal use or even professional venture. Our next Soap Making Workshop will be held in 2023 and you can register your interest here to be notified when the date is confirmed.

This dream has only been realised by the amazing efforts of my husband, Warren and my supportive family including Emily, Hannah & Jess, who have thrown everything into getting our passion project across the line.

Also our team at Washpool Supply Co. have put in an extraordinary effort to drive this move, and to get behind the vision - being all an integral and valued part of the Washpool family.

We have also had the support of the most amazing team of builders, painters, electricians and suppliers working to some challenging deadlines and stock delays, to get us in and be very proud of the outcome.
